British Spinal Intervention Course

The British Spinal Intervention Course is a two-day course that will be held at Leeds Medical School on 30th and 31st May 2024. The course is a hands-on training course, aimed at radiologists and other healthcare professionals, centred around teaching spinal interventional radiology procedures under fluoroscopic guidance.

This includes: injections (nerve root, facet joint, sacroiliac, pars interarticularis), biopsy (intervertebral disc and transpedicular), vertebroplasty and thermal ablation. Delegates will be taught the practical aspects of these procedures on cadavers by experts and have the opportunity to practice themselves with supervision and direct feedback. The practical sessions will be supplemented by a short series of lectures outlining the relevant techniques.
